Jojo’s new salon space was created with intention, dedication, and a true sense of family support.

What began as a simple base has now become a fully built wooden salon/family space, but also carefully constructed from start to finish — and yes, built properly from the ground up with all timber frames. The build was completed in stages, with each phase bringing the vision closer to reality.

Initially, the plan was to begin the project, pause around November, and then resume the following year. However, with growing motivation and incredible support from family and friends, the decision was made to keep moving forward. The momentum was strong, the vision was clear, and what was meant to be a phased project quickly transformed into a fully realized space much sooner than expected. The space was built entirely from wood, starting from the foundation and progressing step by step. It was a truly hands-on process and a genuine team effort.

Jojo’s mum played a major role in helping bring the vision to life, while family and friends worked hard throughout every stage of the build. Even the older children contributed along the way. Their involvement made the journey even more meaningful — this was never just about constructing a workspace, but about building something special together. The space also dual-purpose as her adult children with autism enjoy studying and chilling in it too. To maintain a cohesive look while prioritising comfort and accessibility was always part of the overall plan.

Working from home has long been important to Jojo, and building this space has allowed that vision to become a reality in a fun and professional way. Every detail reflects care, persistence, teamwork, and a clear commitment to creating a welcoming, comfortable environment for every client who walks through the door, as well as supporting those with additional needs and a peaceful space for her Adult children with additional needs to enjoy.

The salon beautifully reflects Jojo’s unique style while serving as a heartfelt tribute to her late father, who adored Western films and cowboy culture. That love has been thoughtfully woven into the design, with playful cow print accents featured throughout — from statement cushions and throws to stylish décor pieces that instantly catch your eye. The Western influence blends effortlessly with modern glam touches, creating a space that feels both meaningful and completely on-brand.

Soft pink lighting sets the mood, giving the salon a warm, welcoming glow that feels cosy yet elevated. A neon sign adds that extra pop of personality, bringing a fun, Instagram-worthy edge to the space. Every corner has been styled with intention — from the shelving details to the carefully chosen furnishings — creating an atmosphere that feels vibrant, funky, and unmistakably Jojo.

Even the practical touches have been designed with care. A separate toilet, located just outside the salon, continues the cohesive theme and ensures comfort and accessibility for every client. Nothing has been overlooked — this space was created to be both stylish and functional.

More than just a workspace, this salon represents growth, resilience, and passion. It’s a place where creativity meets comfort, where clients can relax, feel pampered, and enjoy a truly personal experience.
